IONICON Analytik organizes an intensive theoretical and practical training seminar for our customers, PTR-MS users and all others interested in our technology to be held before the 4th International PTR-MS Conference.

After organizing several courses, gaining experience and most important looking through the feedback of the last years' sessions we have outlined a program including some new ideas for "hands-on PTR-MS 2009" that we would like to share with you here.
Hands-On PTR-MS 2009 will take place on February 15-16, BEFORE the PTR-MS Conference (February 17-21).
(check-in on February 14 - rooms available at 5 p.m.)
Theoretical parts (February 15) will include:
- Lecture of Dr. Armin Wisthaler of the Institute for Ion Physics and Applied Physics, University of Innsbruck, Austria, dealing with basics of analytical mass spectrometry, PTR-MS and related topics.
- Interactive lecture (prepared by IONICON experts) on different PTR-MS software types, PTR-MS Control software, troubleshooting, tools, data handling and processing, third party programs and related topics.
Practical parts (February 16) will include:
- Small groups will get "hands-on" different PTR-MS instruments covering maintenance issues, calibration, software, and analytical topics. It will be 4 workshops with a limited number of participants per workshop headed by our experts. The small groups of participants will attend one workshop after the other in order for everybody to get in-depths knowledge of every topic and get his hands on our instruments.
NEW in 2009 will be the possibility to book 2-hour-short-courses on all 5 conference days (February 17-20, AFTER "hands-on PTR-MS" 2009 in the lunch break). The topics for these short courses will be individually selected together with you and will have a very individual training character as the number of participants is strictly limited and admission will be handled on a first come first served basis. This should be a chance for research groups or individual scientists to have a session with one of our experts on a specific issue that can be either a theoretical or a practical problem. Please be in contact with us well in advance if you would like to sign up for an individual short-course.
The venue of this training seminar will be the same magnificent location as the previous years: University Center of the University Innsbruck, Obergurgl, Austria.

Accommodation is available directly at the venue in a package including training course, 2 nights in selected room category, full-board & coffee breaks (on seminar days), and hand-outs.
IMPORTANT:
-Training course participants NOT attending the Conference will need to check-out on February 16 until 9:30 a.m. As a special service IONICON will organize a shuttle to Innsbruck on the same evening after the training course and/or one-night accommodation in Innsbruck if necessary.
-The PTR-MS Conference will start in the morning of February 17 (check-in for NEW arrivals on February 16 - rooms available at 5 p.m.). Check-out for participants who are attending the Conference too (recommended) is February 21 until 10 a.m.
Conditions apply: Early-bird rate is only applicable if registration until Sept. 1, 2008 and payment in full until Sept. 15, 2008 (free of all charges to our account) is received.
Participation and rooms are subject to availability and assigned on a first come, first served basis after payment in full is received (free of all charges to our account). We recommend to book the same category for training course and conference thus minimizing the eventual need to change rooms for the conference. We will share your registration data with other participants - to facilitate travel arrangements and exchange of experiences. Minor changes in program may occur without further notice.
Cancellation fee policy: Until Sept. 1: 0%, Sept. 2 - Oct. 31: 10% , Oct. 31 - Dec. 15: 25%, Dec. 16 - Feb. 10: 50%, Feb. 11 - Feb. 16: 100%
